Buy Forge, get 75 free AI credits
Every license includes 75 credits for the AI generator. Create a unique, real-world sound, import it into Sample Lab, and shape it into your own signature SFX.
Build one, or bring your own
Forge · Generate from scratch
Eight one-click presets — coin, laser, explosion, power-up, hit, jump, blip, boom — over four waveforms and eight sliders. Randomize and mutate to explore, then save and export.
Sample Lab · Import & tweak your own
Drop in your own WAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC, AIFF, or M4A and reshape it with a dead-simple effects rack — no DAW, no plugins, no learning curve.
What you can do
One-click presets
Eight instant arcade archetypes that play the moment you click. A category-aware Randomize keeps new sounds on-theme.
Shape every detail
Eight live sliders — frequency, slide, attack, sustain, decay, punch, vibrato, duty — across square, saw, sine, and noise.
Import your own audio
Sample Lab loads WAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC, AIFF, and M4A, then lets you trim, pitch, filter, drive, bit-crush, fade, and reverse it.
Live waveform scope
Both modes redraw the waveform in real time, so you dial in the exact sound by eye and ear before you export.
Randomize + mutate
Generate fresh sounds or nudge the current one into nearby variations — perfect for non-repeating hits, footsteps, and pickups.
Export packs of 8
Turn one sound into a variation pack — the original plus seven mutations — exported in a single click for instant variety.
Your own library
Save sounds to a persistent library that survives restarts — replay, reload to keep editing, or export any of them anytime.
Drag into your engine
Drag a finished sound straight out of the app and drop it into Unity, Godot, Unreal, or your file explorer.
WAV, MP3, or OGG
Export to the format your engine wants. Clean, game-ready files that import everywhere — no conversion step.

Forge FAQ
How is Forge different from the UnlockSFX AI generator?
Forge runs on your machine with no AI and no credits. It makes sounds two ways: a procedural synth (sfxr/Bfxr lineage) for retro and arcade effects, and Sample Lab for reshaping your own recordings. The web generator uses AI to create realistic, real-world sounds from a text prompt. Many devs use both — Forge for classic 8-bit blips and edits, the web app for cinematic or lifelike SFX.
Do I really get 75 free AI credits with Forge?
Yes — every Forge license includes 75 credits for the AI generator on unlocksfx.com, redeemed on your account. Use them to create unique, realistic sounds, then import them into Sample Lab and make them your own. (75 credits is the same as our $10 Jam Pack.)
Can I edit my own audio files?
Yes — that's Sample Lab. Import a WAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC, AIFF, or M4A and shape it with gain, speed/pitch, a low-pass filter, drive, bit crush, trim, fades, and reverse, then export a clean WAV, MP3, or OGG.
Does it really work offline with no AI?
Yes. Every sound is synthesized or processed on your device — no model, no server call. Once activated it works fully offline, and nothing you make ever leaves your computer.
How do I activate it after buying?
Your purchase comes with a license key. Paste it (or load the .key file) once when you first open the app, and it stays activated — no account and no internet needed after that.
Which operating systems are supported?
Windows 10/11 today, as a small (~2 MB) installer. A macOS build is on the way. On first launch Windows may show a SmartScreen notice because the app is new — click More info, then Run anyway.
