FAQ
Practical answers for developers evaluating UnlockSFX.
Can I use generated sounds in my game?
Yes. UnlockSFX is designed for practical use in game projects.
Can I use sounds commercially?
Yes. Generated sounds are yours to use in commercial and personal projects, royalty-free, no attribution required. See our License page.
How do credits work?
Each generation spends credits. Packs add more credits to your account.
Do I need to hire a sound engineer?
No. UnlockSFX helps you create custom game SFX without a dedicated audio specialist.
Can I generate sounds for Unity, Unreal, Godot, and Roblox?
Yes. The UI is engine-agnostic and focused on exportable game sound files.
Can I use these outside of games — like YouTube videos or podcasts?
Absolutely. UnlockSFX is built for game devs first, but the sounds are royalty-free and copyright-free, so they work great for YouTube videos, podcasts, streams, and other creator projects too — whooshes, transitions, impacts, stingers, and more.
Can I resell generated sounds as a sound pack?
No. Raw sound resale as a standalone pack is restricted.
What file formats are supported?
Sounds download as high-quality MP3, ready to drop into any game engine.
Why are there no unlimited plans?
Credits keep generation fair, affordable, and sustainable.
